Fare Collection Accountant

Role Title Fare Collection Accountant
Experience & Qualification
  • The candidate should be graduate in computer science or commerce.
  • The candidate should possess at least 3 – 8 yrs of experience working in Hypermarkets or in any transport industry sector. Experience in toll gate systems handing fare collection management will be preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Fare Collection Accountant is responsible for the efficient daily operation of the fare collection, as such he:
  • Ensures the operational, collection and financial procedures are carried out as per set procedures and rules in accordance with the statutory framework on his area of responsibility (stretch, corridor…)
  • Reconciles the amount of cash inflows given by AFC with the actual cash inflows given by the bank, and deals appropriately with the discrepancies if any
  • Ensures the completeness of sales (e.g. by checking all Ticket Vending Machines are reporting sales correctly) on his area of responsibility
  • Participates in new projects related to fare collection or fines recovery, if required
  • Supports the roll-out of new payment schemes, in collaboration with LTMRHL and other departments of KHMRTS
  • Proposes functional enhancements to applied processes (for example workflow modifications)
  • Prepare statistics of sales and cash inflows by product.
  • Contributes to the preparation of the fare collection reporting to LTMRHL
  • Participates in audits of the ticketing and cash collection procedures, including on site audits, upon requirement from his hierarchy
  • Ensures ethical practices by eliminating revenue leakage and malpractices

Roles & Responsibilities

EFO (Excess Fare Officer )

Role Title EFO
Experience & Qualification
  • Degree or Diploma in any stream.
  • Regional language will be preferable.
  • Candidates having 2-4 yrs of experience in dealing customers are preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Being familiar with the SOPs, Business Rules, By laws and Operation of AFC system
  • Reporting for duty at least 15 minutes prior to start of his/her shift
  • Issue CST, CSC, Paper Ticket, Other money value items and collect penalties as per business rule.
  • Ensuring the proper filing of documents, instructions and the disposal of superseded documents.
  • Ensuring that operational information is disseminated to Station Controller in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that passengers are able to move quickly through the AFC Gates by monitoring the flow of traffic and arranging for passengers to be assisted if required
  • Exercising discretion, good judgement and initiative in dealing with unforeseen circumstances and in situations that are not covered by company rules and procedures
  • In an emergency, assisting Station Controller.
  • Ensuring that staff from other departments and contractors has proper authority to enter the paid area.

  • Balance the token, load them in TVMs and keep the stock of CSC and CST as per rule and keep Station Controller informed well in time about any demand thereto.

OCC Chief Controller

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manages smooth real-time Metro operations across the network (including depots),
  • Manages all OCC/DCC staff activities,
  • Is responsible for delivery of quality service (KPIs),
  • Is responsible for observance of rules and procedures in the OCC or the field to the practical extent,

Deputy Manager – Stations

Roles & Responsibilities
  • The Deputy Manager is responsible for the management of stations on the nominated corridor or as instructed by Stations Manager. Deputy Manager Station is in charge of all Stations of assigned corridor and Station staff reported under him.

  • Maintenance and Civil works compliance (his and sub-contractors):
  • Ensuring preventive inspections and corrective maintenance based on preventive reports
  • Efficient and Effective Maintenance and regular inspection of all equipment in his jurisdiction, so as to make sure they are in good working condition in accordance with Instructions & Provisions contained in maintenance manual and urgent instructions.
  • Support processes procedures in facilitating permit to work (PTW) to sub-contractor
  • Managing external parties during their intervention and provide feedback reports.
  • Bringing to the notice of Team Associated Manager at, any emergency and other situation that may be beyond his competence or Control.
