Keolis Hyderabad is a private limited company incorporated under Indian Companies Act, 1956. The previous Government of Andhra Pradesh had resolved to provide a rail system for 71.6 km on elevated structure on three corridors in the city of Hyderabad. KHMRTS has been awarded by L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited as the service provider for operating & maintaining the Hyderabad metro train services at Hyderabad, Telangana, INDIA. Hyderabad is India’s sixth most populated city with about 11 million inhabitants and a major centre for the pharmaceutical and IT sectors.
Hyderabad’s entirely elevated metro system will have three lines and 72 kilometres of Track Distance. Construction will be done in six phases and shall be completed by early 2020. The first section has been commissioned the 29th November 2017, with the completion of the entire Corridor I following the 24th September 2018. Stage IV, linking Ameerpet to Hitec City is expected to be opened to passengers in March 2019. With a strong and experienced employee base of 2000 no’s, the metro is expected to transport around 1.5 million passengers per day when completed
